In 2018, this garden was reconstructed at the old Tongue River Elementary school garden site. The Tongue River Valley Community Center brought it back into production for the summer garden club, summer reading program, and after-school programs under the direction of Lise Foy.

Reconstructed at the old Tongue River Elementary school garden site in 2017, Tongue River Valley Community Center manages the Eagle's Nest Garden for their summer garden club, summer reading program, and after-school programs. This year, Tongue River Child's Place had a plot in the garden where students got their hands dirty, staff hosted garden activities, and kids grew produce for their snacks in the summer!

TRVCC also hosted a weekly Culinary Club where students learned about gardening, food preservation, and cooking directly from the garden. For the past two years, this garden has partnered with Innominate Bakery in a Culinary Collaboration as part of our annual Hoe Down fundraiser.

The Garden is possible thanks to the town of Ranchester for donating the water and assisting with weed removal!

This garden hosts apple trees, a large growing space, a strawberry patch, garden shed, and composting bins! They are planning to add several raised beds in 2022.
