Rooted in Wyoming Incubator Garden at Bridges
Garden Leader
David Johnson // Executive Director
The Rooted in Wyoming Incubator Garden at Bridges is a space intended to help significantly expand the production of local food. Located near the Big Goose Creek, the Incubator Garden is ideally situated to accommodate increasing collaborative engagement from local food growers in the community over time. The first partner grower planted garlic in the fall of 2024, intended for market the next year. In its initial pilot phase the Incubator Garden space produced cabbage and potatoes for SCSD2 meal programs, and summer camp students helped plant beets that were donated to the Salvation Army food bank after harvest.
Major support for the Incubator Garden was provided by Love Tito’s, Wagner Ranch Services, and the Wyoming Hunger Initiative, and the Reinke family.
The Incubator Garden is a project intended to help new and existing growers expand their production for the local food market.
