In June of 2021, RiW partnered with The Hub on Smith and C&B Operations to build two raised beds on a previously underutilized portion of the Hub’s location. During the same summer, an additional smaller raised bed and signage was added.
“The Hub on Smith loved the idea of not only beautifying our property but also giving seniors that may no longer have a large garden a place to get their hands dirty,” said Fun & Wellness Coordinator at the Hub, Amanda Munford. “The raised beds give seniors at the Hub the ability to tend to the Garden and they love having fresh produce that they grow themselves!”
