Established in collaboration with the City of Sheridan in the summer of 2016, Carol LeResche and other members of the Powder River Basin Resource Council developed the Sheridan Food Forest as a beautiful space along the Big Goose pathway, near Thorn Rider Park. The garden has a natural feel, with meandering paths and copious flowering plants to help support pollinators. The Food Forest Committee helps with planting and tending, and food grown in the Sheridan Food Forest is available to anyone, feel free to come in and harvest. In 2023 a native medicinal plant garden was added in collaboration with Piney Island Native Plants and the Tall Bull family.
